Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently joining our client secondary school located in Bury in search for science graduate teaching assistant to start in September 2024.

This school would like to appoint a science graduate to support students across KS3 and KS4.

• September 2024 start.
• £1670 - £1800 per month, dependent on experience and qualifications.
• Experience supporting students aged 11-16 is required.
• Full-time and part-time positions available.

The science department within our client school require a knowledgeable and ambitious science graduate to provide additional support in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

 In this role, you will lead one-to-one and small group interventions to target learning objectives and boost attainment levels. You will also assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering lessons, practicals and assessments. Sound knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, or physics up to GCSE level is essential for this role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a science graduate looking int a career in teaching to gain valuable experience within a secondary school setting and develop classroom practice skills prior to completing a future teacher training programme.

Requirements of this role:

• Degree 2:1 or above in a relevant science subject.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
