About the Role:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic educational environment in the BS10 area of Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on students' learning and development. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to support academic achievement, personal growth, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and supporting individual students or small groups
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Help create and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Support classroom management and student engagement
- Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources
- Encourage and motivate students to reach their full potential
- Provide feedback to teachers on students' progress and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have a genuine passion for education and working with children
- Experience working in a school setting is highly desirable, but not essential
- Be confident, approachable, and able to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with a team
- Show patience, resilience, and flexibility in supporting students of all abilities
- An enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) will be required

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £38, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
