Job description

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a difference in their educational journey? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant tojoin a school in Basingstoke.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in assisting teachers to create a positive and effective learning environment. You’ll work closely with students, helping them to develop academically, socially, and emotionally, ensuring every student can achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering lessons and activities across a range of subjects.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, especially those who need extra help.
  • Assist with classroom management to maintain a focused and engaging environment.
  • Encourage students' personal development, helping them build confidence and independence.
  • Work closely with students with additional learning needs, including those with SEN.
  • Help monitor and track student progress and contribute to regular feedback.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Is patient, compassionate, and able to adapt to the diverse needs of students.
  • Has strong communication skills and works well within a team.
  • Is organized and proactive, able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience working with children or in an educational setting is advantageous, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
