Behaviour Specialist Learning Support Assistant – Basingstoke
A specialist school in Basingstoke is seeking an experienced Behaviour Specialist Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in supporting young people with behavioural challenges, either within an educational setting or a mental health/support environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group support to pupils presenting with challenging behaviour.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support engagement in learning.
- Work closely with teachers and SEN professionals to create a structured and positive learning environment.
- Help pupils develop social, emotional, and self-regulation skills.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students to support their personal development.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working in a school setting or within a mental health/support environment.
- A strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
- Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting young people.
- Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
- A commitment to making a meaningful impact on pupils’ education and well-being.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
