Job description

  1. Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Liphook. This full-time role begins in January 2025 and involves teaching across the age and attainment range at Key Stages 3 and 4. The position is long-term with the potential to transition to a temp-to-perm opportunity.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver high-quality teaching, helping students learn effectively, develop personally, and achieve their individual potential.
    • Implement an engaging, broad, balanced, and ambitious curriculum that is accessible to all students.
    • Monitor and support the progress and development of students as a teacher and, if applicable, as a form tutor.
    • Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and ensuring value is added to their education.
    • Actively participate in the school’s provision of extra-curricular activities.
    • Seize opportunities provided by the school for professional development and personal academic growth.
    • Adhere to professional duties as detailed in the Conditions of Service.

    Requirements:

    • A degree in English or a related field and teaching qualifications (preferred).
    • Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
