Support Worker - No Experience Needed
Location: Royston
Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour (linked to competency and qualifications)
PLUS £1500 Welcome bonus*
Annual Salary: £24,375 - £26,582 per year for a 40 hour week
Hours: 40 hours per week
Training: Full training provided and once passed probation we will support and fund studying the Level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care
Teaching Personnel have the opportunity to work with a large SEN school based in Royston, they are looking for a permanent support worker who will be highly involved in personal care, this is supporting all the young people 18-30 with all aspects of personal hygiene including toileting, dressing and maintain their personal appearance.
As well as supporting with their medical needs you will also get involved in helping with the young adults therapies such as rebound therapy or hydrotherapy in the newly renovated pool. The school also has sensory gardens, a skills centre, forestry school and rooms dedicated to art, music and much more.
Although no experience is required, we are looking for candidates to demonstrate:

- Ability to guide and encourage supportive independence when possible
- Exceptional communication skills and patience
- Resilient with a robust and positive nature
- Ability to be creative in meeting the needs of the young adults.
- Ability to work on a rota pattern which will include working every other weekend
Directions:
The school is located in Royston SG8 area, you will need to be able to drive and have access to a vehicle. The school will have parking available on site.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
