Special Needs Teaching Assistant

• PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities)

• Age Group: Secondary

• Start date: ASAP

• Monday - Friday

• During school hours

A specialist school for students based in Royston are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who can support students on a 1:1 basis in the residential unit. Due to the sensory and medical needs of these pupils the school needs someone who has experience supporting similar needs in a previous role. This can be from a background as a care worker, support worker or from working in a SEN school. Recent graduates with relevant placement experience are also welcome to apply.

 

A successful candidate will have the following:

• A good understanding and experience with PMLD and MSL

• The ability to administer medicine

• A caring, positive and confident personality

• A dedication to supporting young people with SEN and help them achieve the best outcomes

• A Child Workforce DBS certificate on the Update Service (we can help with this)

• 2 proofs of address

• A UK passport/right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
