Role Responsibilities:

  • Support students in the classroom, both on a one-to-one basis and in groups.
  • Provide targeted assistance to students with additional learning needs, including SEN.
  • Assist teaching staff with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting inclusion and inspiring engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to create a nurturing environment for learners.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a secondary school or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and colleagues.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to adapt to varying situations.
  • A patient, empathetic approach to supporting learners with different needs.
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.

Essential Requirements:

  • A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Availability to work flexible hours.
  • Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
