Position: Key Stage 4 Teaching Assistant
Location: Toxteth, Liverpool
Student Population: 20 students

About Us:
This school is a small, nurturing educational environment in Toxteth, dedicated to supporting students in Key Stage 4 who face challenges but exhibit manageable behavior. With a school population of just 20 students, we focus on providing tailored, one-to-one support to help each child overcome obstacles and achieve their potential.

The Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Key Stage 4 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role involves working closely with individual students, supporting their learning and personal development, and creating a positive atmosphere that encourages academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to Key Stage 4 students, assisting them in a variety of subjects.
  • Help implement personalized learning plans, adapting support strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Build trusting relationships with students, fostering a safe and encouraging learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom activities and provide additional support during lessons as needed.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to their academic and personal goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Handle sensitive situations with professionalism, patience, and care.

  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education or child support are desirable but not essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children facing difficulties is advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
