Salary: £85 - £100 per day (based on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

Are you a recent graduate passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives? Do you want to kickstart a rewarding career in education? Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Support Assistants to join our team in Liverpool.

Role Overview:

As a Graduate Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, students, and support staff in secondary, or SEN (Special Educational Needs) schools. Your role will involve providing tailored support to students, helping to enhance their academic achievement, and contributing to their personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to ensure they achieve their potential.
  • Assist with classroom management and create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement educational activities.
  • Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and assist with pastoral care.
  • Support students with additional needs, including SEN or EAL (English as an Additional Language).

Requirements:

  • A degree in any discipline (Education, Psychology, or related fields preferred).
  • Passion for education and a commitment to supporting young people’s learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability, patience, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Prior experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
  • Enhanced DBS certificate and on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
