Job description

Maths Teacher – Full-Time – SEMH School (KS2 & KS3)

Are you a passionate and resilient Maths teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a qualified and experienced Maths teacher to join our small, supportive SEMH school, working with pupils in Key Stages 2 and 3.

About the Role:

  • Full-time, permanent position (following a probationary period through Teaching Personnel).

  • Small class sizes with dedicated LSA support.

  • Delivering engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to pupils who require a tailored approach to learning.

  • Supporting students with a range of needs, including SEMH, ASC, complex needs, and those from challenging backgrounds.

  • Working within a nurturing, therapeutic environment to help pupils re-engage with education.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Maths.

  • Experience working with SEMH pupils or those with additional needs.

  • A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching.

  • Strong behaviour management skills and a commitment to trauma-informed practice.

  • Passion for supporting pupils' emotional and academic growth.
