SEN Tutor
Job description
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate SEN Tutor to join our team in Hayes. If you have a passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, we would love to hear from you. Position: SEN Tutor
Location: Hayes (Flexible within the local area)
Hours: Flexible (Full-time or Part-time options)
Rate of Pay: £20–£30 per hour (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one tuition for children and young people with a variety of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.

Assess individual student needs, and develop personalised learning plans tailored to their specific challenges and strengths.

Plan and deliver sessions that are engaging, supportive, and effective in helping students progress academically and emotionally.

Create a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment that fosters confidence and independence.

Monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies and materials as needed to ensure continued development.

Build strong, trusting relationships with students and their families, providing regular feedback and updates on progress.
About You:

You have experience working with children and young people with SEN, specifically autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.

You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have a minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching or tuition.

You have the ability to assess, plan, and deliver tailored sessions that meet the individual needs of each student.

You are patient, empathetic, and able to create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

You have a strong understanding of SEN strategies, interventions, and resources.

Experience working with parents and other professionals is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
