SEN Tutor
Job description
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to join our team, supporting children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia. As a tutor, you will work with students on a 1-1 basis, tailoring lessons to their individual needs and supporting them in achieving their academic potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1-1 tuition for students with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other SEN needs.

Assess each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles to create a tailored scheme of work.

Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with each student’s individual needs.

Use differentiated teaching methods to ensure the lessons are accessible and supportive.

Help students develop confidence in their learning and work towards their academic goals.

Maintain regular communication with parents or carers to provide feedback on progress.
Key Requirements:
-
Experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, or Dyslexia.

Ability to assess individual learning needs and create tailored lesson plans.
-
Patience, understanding, and an ability to build strong relationships with students.

Strong communication skills to engage both students and parents effectively.

Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEN.
-
DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
-
Experience in delivering lessons in Maths and English is desirable, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
