SEN Tutor

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to join our team, supporting children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia. As a tutor, you will work with students on a 1-1 basis, tailoring lessons to their individual needs and supporting them in achieving their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1-1 tuition for students with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other SEN needs.

• Assess each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles to create a tailored scheme of work.

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with each student’s individual needs.

• Use differentiated teaching methods to ensure the lessons are accessible and supportive.

• Help students develop confidence in their learning and work towards their academic goals.

• Maintain regular communication with parents or carers to provide feedback on progress.

Key Requirements:

• Experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, or Dyslexia.

• Ability to assess individual learning needs and create tailored lesson plans.

• Patience, understanding, and an ability to build strong relationships with students.

• Strong communication skills to engage both students and parents effectively.

• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEN.

• DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).

• Experience in delivering lessons in Maths and English is desirable, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
