Job description

Job Title: SEN Tutor 1:1

Location:

West Midlands, Birmingham, West Midlands

Salary:

£25.00 - £30.00 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to help students progress academically
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in students' education

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and techniques

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in teaching/tutoring students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different learning styles and abilities
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications in Special Education or SEN teaching
  • Experience working in a one-on-one tutoring setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
