Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (South Wirral)
Location: South Wirral
Start Date: After February Half Term
Employer: Teaching Personnel
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience (£85 - £100 PER DAY)

Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding role? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and skilled TA to support students with special educational needs (SEN) in a secondary school in South Wirral.

The Role:

  • Supporting students with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
  • Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning strategies
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to enhance student progress
  • Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence in learning
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with SEN students in a secondary school setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt and provide differentiated support
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, Psychology, Education) – desirable but not essential
DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
