Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary:

£12.90 - £13.50 Per hour

Job Duties:

• Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom
• Assist the teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for SEN students
• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Support SEN students with their social, emotional, and academic development
• Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best support for SEN students

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience working with SEN students

Education:

Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3)

Experience:

Experience working with SEN students in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

• First Aid Certification
• Mental Health Awareness training

Working Conditions:

• Work primarily in a school classroom setting
• Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday
• Potential for occasional additional hours for meetings or training
• May involve some physical activity and lifting
