SEN Teaching Assistant

At Teaching Personnel, we are collaborating with a school in Levenshulme that is actively looking for a Teaching Assistant to support small groups and provide one-to-one assistance for pupils with various Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Year 5. The successful candidate will join a school with an outstanding rating, dedicated to helping every child, regardless of ability, grow spiritually, physically, socially, and intellectually to their fullest potential. This is a full-time role (8:30am - 3:30pm), starting after Easter.

The Role:

• Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development.
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored educational activities.
• Provide one-to-one support to SEN students, helping them achieve their individual learning goals.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
• Collaborate with staff and professionals to ensure the holistic development of students.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Relevant experience working with SEN students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Level 2 Safeguarding Course (training can be provided if necessary).
