SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
We are working with a specialist school in the Rochdale Area to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants for a full-time role to begin as soon as possible.
The role would be focused on those with additional needs. The school has different classes to support different needs such as Autism, Communication difficulties and behaviour-based needs.
You as a SEN Teaching Assistant would support the pupils under the direction of the teacher to complete academic work and improve social skills such as a communication, emotional regulation, and management of challenging behaviour.
The school is purpose built to support those with additional needs with equipped classrooms and other facilities such as sensory rooms, soft play areas to support these young people, with a high staff to pupil ratio in each room.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant MUST have:
• Experience of supporting young people in a school or care environment within the UK
• Availability to work 08:30-15:30, Monday to Friday
It would be also beneficial for applicants to have:
• Confidence in supporting instances of challenging behaviour
• Experience of working with SEN including complex autism
• A positive and proactive attiue.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
