We are currently looking for a number of SEN specialists to work in schools around Cornwall. Since the start of the new term, we have received a high volume of calls from schools requesting Teaching Assistant to work on a number of bookings. We have day to day supply, long term cover and permanent positions and are seeking people who are available both part time and full time, including half days.

You could be working with young people between the ages of 2-19 with profound and multiple (PMLD) , Severe (SLD), Moderate (MLD) or complex learning difficulties. Some children have additional sensory or physical impairments, speech and language disorders or medical needs, others are statemented as being on the autistic spectrum (ASC). 

The roles will be varied and interesting and you will find yourself involved in every aspect of the children and young people's lives – including practical, hands on activities, offering vital emotional, guidance and support – and bringing your care, attention and structure to every child's unique life. Each day will bring its own set of challenges, obstacles and victories, as well as the personal rewards of working with each individual to help them achieve their personal best – whatever that may be.

Who are we looking for? 

• Applicants with experience working in an educational setting
• Applicants with experience supporting children or adults with SEN in a care setting 
• Applicants with personal experience supporting family members or close friends with special needs
• It would be beneficial for you to drive but this is not essential. It is dependent on where you live.

You will be paid GBP10.20 per hour, offer additional discounted training and receive a GBP50 refer a friend bonus for every successful Educator you refer us to.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
