Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor

Location:

Greater London, England - Merton

Salary:

£20 - £30 per hour

Job Duties:

• Provide personalised educational support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities.
• Deliver engaging lessons and activities to help students achieve their learning goals.
• Regularly assess and monitor students' progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to effectively support students.
• Adapt teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
• Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience working with students with SEN.
• Strong knowledge of SEN support strategies and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in SEN teaching.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Familiarity with the SEN Code of Practise.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in Special Education.
• Training in specific SEN interventions.

Working Conditions:

• Part-time hours.
• Temporary position.
• Work in a school setting or home setting
• Potential travel to different schools within the Merton area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
