Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor
Location:
Greater London, England - Merton
Salary:
£20 - £30 per hour
Job Duties:
- Provide personalised educational support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities.
- Deliver engaging lessons and activities to help students achieve their learning goals.
- Regularly assess and monitor students' progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to effectively support students.
- Adapt teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working with students with SEN.
- Strong knowledge of SEN support strategies and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in SEN teaching.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with the SEN Code of Practise.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Education.
- Training in specific SEN interventions.
Working Conditions:
- Part-time hours.
- Temporary position.
- Work in a school setting or home setting
- Potential travel to different schools within the Merton area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
