SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an SEN school in the Chichester area who are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant on a full time basis, to commence in September, working with students who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The school are looking for someone with a sporting background, who can use their skills to coach and encourage pupils with SEMH, including ASC, ADD, ADHD, SpLD.

The successful candidate will have the option to work with secondary pupils; the students are in need of extra support and guidance during their lesson time. The main aspect of the role will be helping the students to engage with their learning, and encouraging personal and social development whilst managing challenging behaviour throughout the day. Students in this provision often display extremely challenging behaviour and the successful candidate will be confident in approaching this. Alongside this, you will be participating in sports coaching sessions with pupils!

Teaching Personnel can offer Behaviour Support Assistant's competitive pay rates of GBP60 - 65 per day, although this role will be held on a short term basis, registration with Teaching Personnel can provide you with many further work opportunities. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
