SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Secondary Provision
  • Burnley based (BB10)
  • Full-time, Monday – Friday; 8:45am – 3:30pm
  • £12.90 - £13.50 p/h
  • Start: Monday2nd September 2024
  • End: Ongoing basis

The school
This provision allows children to achieve to the best of their ability and enables them to build the confidence and self-esteem to excel. The school prides themselves on the positive relationships they build with the children, knowing the children individually to best support them. The headteacher is keen to welcome someone who has a real desire to encourage children to flourish physically, mentally, and socially.

The role
This role will work specifically with children who particularly struggle with their emotional regulation and behaviour. This may present as a challenge as you will need to create strategies enabling the children to cope with high pressure situations. It would be desirable for the successful candidate to have previous experience of working with children with SEMH. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to ensure that the child’s needs are being met according to their personalised behaviour plans.
