Job description

 SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and nurturing support assistant to join one of our school’s thriving teams. The successful candidate should be able to build relationships with children, staff and families to enable the best possible outcomes for our children.

 

Full-time Hours – (Monday to Friday) 8:30am – 3:30pm

Pay: £12.90 - £14 per hour

Location: Bacup

Your responsibilities:

  • Support the individual needs of children across school.
  • Work collaboratively with the teacher and other professionals within school, including working closely with the SENCO.
  • Recognise and identify gaps in children’s learning and communicate this with the class teacher.
  • Have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a passion for education.
  • Deliver intervention sessions with small groups/1:1 children.
  • Immerse yourself within the classroom, creating a stimulating and safe environment.
  • Promote the inclusive school ethos each day.

Requirements for the role:

  • Level 2 or above relevant qualification.
  • Experience supporting children or young adults with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Enhanced DBS – assistance provided if required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Show enthusiasm and passion.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
