Experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Full time (Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pm)

Start date: January 2025

Pay: £12.90 - £13.50 per hour

A school within Blackburn are currently seeking an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work on 1:1 basis with a pupil in Reception who has Global Delay. This role is to start as soon as possible and there is high potential for the correct candidate to be offered a permanent position within school.

As the successful candidate, you would be supporting a pupil who benefits from a calm and consistent approach and is currently supported in school with visual timetables, sensory breaks and pictorial cues. A key part of the role would be to support the pupil with speech and language development. As a result of the pupils needs, they do have an Education Health Care Plan in place, therefore, you would need to build close relationships with the class teacher and the SENCO.

There is also a number of welfare hours that are included within this role, meaning that you would be supervising pupils throughout the lunchtime period.

Requirements:

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent

Previous experience within EYFS & Key Stage 1

Previous experience supporting pupils with Global Delay

Previous experience of providing personal care

Experience supporting pupils with Speech and Language

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
