SEN Teacher (Alternative Provision)
Thrapston, East Midlands
Permanent | Full Time
£30,000 - £40,000 per annum

The PWR team at Teaching Personnel is excited to be working with an alternative education provider in Thrapston to recruit a dedicated SEN Teacher.

This role is perfect for an educator who thrives in a nurturing, creative environment and is passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning. The school supports around 35 students, offering tailored academic and pastoral support to enable reintegration into mainstream education where possible. You’ll join a supportive team that includes the Head of School, Deputy Head, teachers, and support staff, alongside additional regional and national support.

About You:

We’re looking for a committed SEN Teacher with a passion for making a difference.

Requirements:

  • Hold or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS).
  • Proficiency in teaching English, Maths, and Science (minimum Grade 4/C or higher).
  • Specialist teaching qualifications or SENCO Advanced Certificate (desirable).
  • Experience working in SEN or alternative provisions.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEN, alongside excellent communication and pastoral skills.

A background in special education, alongside familiarity with innovative teaching approaches, would be highly beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
