SEN Teacher – Royston
An award-winning Special Educational Needs (SEN) school group is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join their dynamic team at their Royston site. The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, tailored education to students with a variety of SEN needs, including Autism, ADHD, and associated learning difficulties. They will create engaging and adaptive lesson plans, work closely with a multidisciplinary team, and foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver personalised lessons that meet individual student needs
- Differentiate teaching methods to support a variety of learning styles
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and parents/carers
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies accordingly
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being within the classroom
- Contribute to the wider school community and uphold the school’s values
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies, including Autism-friendly approaches
- Ability to create and maintain an inclusive learning environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
