Job description

An outstanding SEN school group is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join their team at their specialist site in Royston. This is a fulltime, permanent contract. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of complex needs, including autism and associated learning difficulties. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing one-to-one and group support for students

Assisting with personal care and promoting independence

Supporting students in developing social and communication skills

Implementing individual learning and behaviour plans

Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students at all times

Encouraging participation in activities and helping to build confidence

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)

A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development

The ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment

Right to work in the UK (this organisation cannot provide sponsorship)
