SEN Support Worker - Educational setting

Location: SEN Primary & Secondary schools across Preston, PR1, PR2, PR3, PR4, PR5. 
Contract: Full-time, temp to perm possibility. 
Start Date: ASAP.

Teaching Personnel are working closesly with a primary and secondary SEN Schools in Preston who are looking for Support Assistants to join them on a full-time, part-time and flexible basis'. The schools are nurturing and inclusive, dedicated to providing outstanding education and support for children with diverse learning needs. The schools we work with pride themselves on their warm, welcoming environment and their commitment to helping every child thrive.

The Role:

Compassionate and proactive SEN Support Assistants to join Teaching Personnel's fantastic pool of educators. You will work closely with teachers and therapists to provide tailored support for children with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs.

Key Responsibilites: 

✔️ Supporting pupils with their learning, development, and emotional well-being
✔️ Assisting teachers in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment
✔️ Providing one-to-one and small group support
✔️ Encouraging independence and confidence in pupils
✔️ Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals

What are we looking for?:

✅ Experience working with children with SEN (desired but not essential)
✅ A patient, caring, and positive attitude
✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
✅ A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the children
✅ A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
