We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Secondary Teaching Assistant in a dedicated school in Cranborne, where you will work closely with students aged 11 to 16. This role provides an invaluable opportunity to contribute to a supportive and inclusive environment that focuses on nurturing the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student.

The school offers a nurturing setting that provides tailored support for students, ensuring they can thrive despite challenges. Working in small groups and one-to-one settings, you will help students access their curriculum and develop important life skills in an environment that is both calming and motivating.

 

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students in accessing their learning across a variety of subjects

  • Help students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, ensuring they feel valued and understood

  • Work alongside teachers and specialists to implement personalised learning plans

  • Assist with the delivery of tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students

  • Foster positive relationships and build confidence in students

The working hours for this role are from 8:30am to 3:30pm, with finish times varying depending on the day of the week. Your role will evolve as you build rapport with the students and get involved in various activities that support their development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
