Job description

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds and making science engaging? We’re looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Tutor to support a student with their studies in Biology, Chemistry, Physics & General Science. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced tutor or educator who thrives on helping students build confidence and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

Design and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to the student’s learning style and academic needs
Monitor and report on attendance, progress, and engagement using our digital platform
Provide clear feedback and communicate effectively with TP Tutors, parents, and carers
Prioritize safeguarding and student well-being, ensuring a supportive learning environment
Offer both in-person and remote tuition as required
Assist with homework, revision strategies, and exam preparation

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent is preferred, but experienced tutors are encouraged to apply
✅ Experience working with primary or secondary-aged students
✅ Enthusiastic, engaging, and adaptable approach to teaching
At least 2 years’ experience in tutoring or teaching, either 1:1 or in small groups
✅ Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a willingness to develop these skills
✅ Experience in managing challenging behaviors and creating a positive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
