Science Teacher

Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience


About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Stockton. This is a full-time teaching position, ideal for a dedicated educator with a love for inspiring students in the fascinating world of science. You will teach across a range of science subjects including biology, chemistry, and physics, with the opportunity to shape the next generation of scientists.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science: Deliver engaging lessons in biology, chemistry, and physics across various year groups.
  • Lesson Planning: Create dynamic and effective lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment to encourage learning.
  • Assessment: Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their potential.
  • Collaboration: Work with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective science curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in a relevant science subject.
  • Experience: Previous teaching experience in secondary schools is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for teaching science and inspiring students to reach their full potential.

  • Safeguarding Training: All candidates will be required to complete safeguarding training before commencing the role.
