Salary:
Competitive, dependent on experience
Start Date:
April 2025 or sooner if available. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our dynamic team at a thriving secondary school located in the heart of Hartlepool. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate educator who is committed to inspiring the next generation of scientists and fostering a love for learning.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A degree in a science-related subject (Physics, Biology, Chemistry or combined sciences).
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Passion for Science and a commitment to helping students succeed.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience in teaching KS3 & KS4 is desirable but not essential.
  • A proactive and positive approach to teaching and student development.

Key Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high quality science lessons.
  • Create an engaging and inclusive leaning environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and academic success.
  • Asses, track and report on students’ progress, ensuring tailored support for individual learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative curriculum materials and teaching strategies.
  • Display effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
