Science Teacher

We are looking for a dedicated and innovative Science Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Hedge End, starting in January. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate science educator to make a meaningful impact, inspiring students across KS3 and KS4 with engaging lessons that bring scientific concepts to life. Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Plan and implement engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to students’ varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Encourage critical thinking and a hands-on approach to learning, utilizing the school’s laboratory resources effectively.
  • Prepare students for GCSE Science assessments with targeted teaching, practical sessions, and effective feedback.
  • Participate in the school’s science initiatives, contributing to STEM events, extracurricular activities, and departmental projects.

Ideal Candidate:

  • QTS with experience teaching Science at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for Science, with a proven track record in delivering the curriculum effectively.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a dedication to fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Ability to motivate students, instilling a sense of curiosity and wonder about the world of science.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
