About the Role:
This Science role is an exceptional opportunity to deliver inspiring and engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students see the relevance of science in their everyday lives. What You’ll Do:
- Engage and Inspire: Deliver impactful lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, igniting curiosity and encouraging students to explore scientific principles in depth.
- Exam Preparation: Prepare students for GCSE exams through a structured approach that combines practical applications with theoretical understanding.
- Curriculum Development: Participate in collaborative planning within the department, contributing to a dynamic curriculum that evolves with scientific advancements and teaching innovations.
- Experiment and Exploration: Bring Science to life through engaging practical sessions, fostering an environment where students feel confident conducting experiments and exploring concepts hands-on.
- Focus on Individual Progress: Tailor lesson plans to cater to different learning styles and abilities, ensuring each student receives the support and challenge they need to succeed.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a background in Science or a specialized field within Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Strong experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4, with a passion for building students' academic curiosity and knowledge.
- A deep commitment to student achievement and progression, coupled with the skills to make Science accessible and engaging for all learners.
- Excellent classroom management abilities, creating a safe and structured environment where students can excel.
- A collaborative approach, engaging with colleagues to share insights, strategies, and support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
