Science Teacher

Are you a dedicated and passionate Science teacher ready to inspire the next generation of budding scientists? We are looking for a talented Science teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Fair Oak. With a focus on fostering curiosity and academic excellence, this school encourages students to question, experiment, and explore the world around them.

About the Role:

As a Science teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging lessons: Teach dynamic and interactive Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering topics in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Inspire scientific thinking: Encourage students to approach scientific problems with curiosity and creativity, helping them develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Support student progress: Provide tailored support to students of all abilities, ensuring they have the resources and guidance to excel in their coursework and exams.
  • Practical learning opportunities: Use experiments and hands-on activities to bring science to life in the classroom and enhance students' understanding of key concepts.
  • Prepare students for exams: Deliver focused teaching to help students succeed in their GCSE Science exams, offering revision sessions, exam techniques, and personalised feedback.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): With a specialism in Science or a specific branch of Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
  • Passion for Science: A genuine love for Science and a commitment to helping students explore the wonders of the subject.
  • Innovative Teaching Methods: The ability to create engaging, practical lessons that captivate students' interest and make learning fun.
  • Strong Classroom Management: Confidence in managing diverse classrooms, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
  • Up-to-date Curriculum Knowledge: A solid understanding of the latest developments in the Science curriculum, including changes to GCSE specifications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
