Job description

Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacher ready to inspire the next generation of scientists? We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join our supportive school community in Waterlooville. The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering an appreciation for scientific inquiry and critical thinking. You’ll join a dedicated Science department, delivering a curriculum that encourages exploration and understanding in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the Science curriculum.
  • Inspire and motivate students, promoting a love of learning and critical thinking in Science.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, creating a positive and productive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative and effective teaching practices.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Science Teacher with a commitment to high standards and a passion for the subject. This role is ideal for someone who can bring energy to the classroom and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Science.
  • Experience teaching Science at the secondary level, preferably across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students in Science.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to build a positive learning environment.
  • A proactive, flexible approach and a commitment to students’ academic and personal growth.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
