Science Teacher
Job description
Teaching Personnel are working closely with an outstanding secondary school seeking a Teacher of Science to join the department from January 2025.
Located in the countryside of East Hampshire, this well-established secondary school has a strong reputation for academic excellence and its supportive, inclusive environment. The school continues to be graded ‘OUTSTANDING’ in every category by Ofsted and is dedicated to fostering a love of learning and encouraging students to reach their full potential. The school is renowned for excellent student behaviour and a supportive community atmosphere.
The role:
The school are looking to appoint a dynamic teacher of science to join their department on a full-time, temporary basis, from January 2025. The successful educator will be joining a supportive team who are passionate and determined to deliver high standards to all learners. The appointed educator will ideally take on the responsibility of planning and marking but have access to their extremely well-resourced department and teach science across KS3 and KS4 on a full-time basis, required until February or April 2025 initially.
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner with an enjoyment of working with young people.
- Have effective classroom management and an ability to demonstrate resilience in working with challenging behaviour.
- Have effective time management; able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets.
- Be an excellent team player, genuinely committed to working in partnership with others.
- Be an excellent communicator to a variety of audiences with good interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
- Be a reflective practitioner committed to developing own teaching and learning strategies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
