Location: Dudley

Salary: £425 to £450 per week

Contract: Temporary to Full Time

Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30 to 3:30pm)

Are you looking for a challenging role which involves supporting young people to help inspire pupils to succeed?

Teaching personnel are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant for a role in a SEN (Special Educational Needs) school based in Dudley This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 8:30am – 15:30pm and will involve supporting young people with additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.

Our client school is based in Dudley and caters for pupils aged 4 – 19 who have severe and profound learning difficulties including high levels of autism and complex medical needs. The school provides personalised support that utilises the young person’s Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) to help to overcome any learning challenges.

Your role with be to provide additional support to the students in the school, this could be on a 1:1 or small group basis. Candidates will be expected to support the teacher with general classroom and behaviour management and should show willingness to deal with personal care as this is a requirement of the role.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field
  • Passion for working with young children and making a positive impact in their education
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid UK driving license

  • Support/care work
  • Personal assistant work
  • Residential care work
  • Community based work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
