SEN Teaching Assistant:

Are you a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant in the Black Country area?

Teaching Personnel is collaborating with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ SEN school in the Black Country that is seeking a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team starting in January. This role offers a competitive pay rate and provides the opportunity to work closely with students, ensuring their educational and personal development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students with special educational needs across different age groups.
  • Assisting in planning and delivering tailored interventions to meet individual student needs.
  • Encouraging a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Managing and promoting good behavior, helping students engage effectively with their learning.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to track progress and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.
  • Previous experience in an SEN school or similar environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Strong behavior management skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
  • An up-to-date DBS on the update serviceor or willingness to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
