Are you resilient and experienced in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges? We are seeking a committed Youth Behaviour Support Assistant to join our specialist provision in B33, providing essential support to students with SEMH needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer tailored support to students, helping them engage in learning and personal development.
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using a calm, proactive approach.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Assist in creating and implementing individual behaviour support plans and interventions.
- Build positive relationships with students, serving as a role model and mentor.
Requirements:
- Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- A valid DBS on the update service (essential).
- Relevant experience in youth services, support work, probation, police, prison services, or similar fields (desirable).
- A strong understanding of SEMH and effective strategies to support young people.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
