Role Overview:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive Church of England primary school in ST10. This school is a nurturing environment where pupils feel happy, safe, and supported. Staff know the children well, fostering strong relationships and a sense of community built on mutual respect. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, supporting children’s academic and personal development. The school places a strong emphasis on reading, personal growth, and inclusivity, ensuring all pupils, including those with SEND, receive the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils’ learning and development in line with the school’s core values of trust, mindfulness, peace, and friendship.
  • Assist in delivering engaging lessons that promote curiosity, resilience, and confidence.
  • Provide tailored support for children, including those with additional needs, ensuring they can fully participate in lessons.
  • Foster an inclusive and respectful learning environment where pupils feel valued and encouraged.
  • Promote a love of reading, supporting phonics sessions and structured reading activities.
  • Help implement a well-structured curriculum across subjects, ensuring pupils build their knowledge and skills over time.
  • Encourage pupils to take on responsibilities such as eco-councillors, IT monitors, or worship leaders, enhancing their confidence and sense of responsibility.

To Be Eligible for This Role Through Teaching Personnel, You Must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Provide two professional references covering the last two years.
