Full-Time Year R Teacher – Southampton

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Year R Teacher to join our friendly and supportive primary school in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher who is passionate about Early Years education and eager to make a positive impact in the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that support the development of children in Year R.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.
Promote social, emotional, and academic growth through creative teaching methods.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child’s progress.
Assess children’s development and plan next steps to ensure individual learning needs are met.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the curriculum is delivered effectively and consistently.
Support children in developing their communication, literacy, and numeracy skills in a fun and engaging way.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT).
Have experience or a genuine passion for teaching in Early Years (Year R).
Be committed to creating a positive, nurturing learning environment for young children.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be enthusiastic, patient, and able to engage with children in a creative and supportive way.
Have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Hold a valid DBS check (or be willing to obtain one).
