Physics teacher

A Catholic Secondary School in South Liverpool are seeking a Science teacher, with a Physics specialism for a January start.

The role will be 5 days a week, teaching General Science. A specialism in Physics or recent experience of teaching Physics is desirable. It will be teaching KS3 and KS4.

The school is a 'Good' Catholic all girls high school with a mixed 6th form. The school is smaller than an average-sized secondary school. The proportion of students known to be eligible for free school meals is about twice the national average. The majority of students are of White British heritage. A very small proportion of students speak English as an additional language. The percentage of disabled students and those who have special educational needs supported at school action is average. The percentage of students who are supported at school action plus or those with a statement of special educational needs is below average. The school specialises in mathematics, sciences computing and applied learning. The school meets the current government floor standard which sets the minimum expectations for students’ attainment and progress.  The school has been an academy since 2012. Based in the Sefton area of Liverpool with accessible public transport and motorway links.

The ideal candidate needs to be a qualified Science teacher with a speciality in Physics or with recent experience of teaching Physics. Newly qualified teachers may apply. The school are wanting to see cv's with a view to interview shortlisted candidates.
