PE Teacher – Full-Time – September Start – Levenshulme, Manchester

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a highly regarded, Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school in Levenshulme, Manchester, to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teacher. This full-time position is to start in September and is to cover a long-term absence. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, diverse student body, and commitment to high standards across both academic and extracurricular activities. Pay will be in line with your scale, dependent on experience.

Role Overview:

  • Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Promote physical health, teamwork, and a positive sporting ethos

  • Plan a wide range of practical and theoretical PE lessons that engage all learners

  • Support the wider life of the school through involvement in extracurricular clubs and inter-school competitions

  • Monitor and track pupil progress, ensuring each student reaches their full potential

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, safety, and motivation in lessons and sports settings

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting

  • Be confident in delivering both practical and theory-based PE content

  • Be passionate about sports, fitness, and student development

  • Possess strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Be willing to contribute to extracurricular activities and the school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
