Position: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a well-respected secondary school in Wythenshawe, seeking a Female PE Teacher to join their dynamic Physical Education department. This is a full-time, long-term role with an immediate start, offering an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher to inspire and engage students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

The school benefits from excellent sports facilities and has a strong sporting tradition, with students who are highly motivated to participate in a variety of physical activities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality PE lessons, lead extracurricular activities, and contribute to the overall health and well-being of students.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEN.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Lead extracurricular activities, including sports clubs, teams, and school competitions.
  • Promote physical health and well-being, encouraging students to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment, managing behaviour effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the PE curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Physical Education or a related subject.
  • Experience delivering PE at secondary level (GCSE/A-level experience is desirable).
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum for PE.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for sport and physical education, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
