Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a successful and specialist school, who are looking to appoint a Pastoral Teaching Assistant.
General Duties include:
• Being an advocate for safeguarding around the school
• Supporting Class teachers with lesson resources and pupil progress
• Support and promote the welfare of students
• Encourage the regular attendance of students and the benefits to their education
• Plan, deliver and run lunchtime intervention sessions, tracking the progress of students
• Support students with challenging behaviour and facilitate good working relationships amongst students
• Support the school in running appropriate enrichment activities across the school
• Be a confident communicator with the ability to develop good relationships with parents/carers, key workers and students
• Attend meetings and events with colleagues, parents/carers and governors
The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people and supporting those who display challenging behaviour. They will also have a high level of knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures with the confidence to provide crisis interventions and guidance to all members of staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
