As part of our team, you will help shape the next generation by supporting our nursery staff in delivering high-quality early years education.

Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team. You will play a vital role in supporting our nursery teachers and ensuring that our children have a safe, fun, and enriching experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering planned activities that support the development of children across the curriculum.
  • Provide one-on-one support to children with additional learning needs.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children.
  • Encourage children’s curiosity, exploration, and creativity in a safe and secure setting.
  • Support children during daily routines, including snack times, outdoor play, and quiet time.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's development and progress.
  • Collaborate with nursery staff and parents to support children’s individual needs.
  • Adhere to all safeguarding and health & safety procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent) is preferred, but not essential.
  • Experience working with children, ideally within a nursery or early years setting.
  • A passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A positive, friendly, and patient attitude.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
