Maths Teacher – Secondary School – Tameside

Location: Tameside
Salary: £150 – £220 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Starting ASAP

Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and highly motivated Maths Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Tameside. The successful candidate will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with potential to teach A-level for the right individual. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students in the subject of Mathematics and support them in achieving their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess students' progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Develop lesson plans that cater to a range of learning abilities and needs, including SEN.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and success.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and colleagues to ensure students receive a well-rounded education.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and extracurricular activities where appropriate.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A deep understanding of Maths and a passion for teaching the subject.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students at all levels.
  • Previous experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4 is essential; experience with A-level teaching is an advantage.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
