Maths Teacher

Role: Maths Teacher

Salary: Pay starting at £157.66 per day

Location: Swansea

Working pattern: Monday to Friday (no weekends)

Closing date: Friday 6th December

Teaching Personnel are looking for a maths teacher to work in one of our partner schools in the Swansea area. The school is a secondary school. The school places a big emphasis on the pupils becoming model citizens with an ethos of community and family spirit. The successful candidate will be joining a passionate and forward-thinking group of staff.

Responsibilities of Maths Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver effective maths lessons, adhering to curriculum guidelines.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning materials to support students’ learning.
  • Facilitate classroom discussions and activities that promote collaboration and critical thinking skills.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and techniques to cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the maths curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents and school staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • An honours degree in a relevant subject.
  • A teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and create a positive learning environment.

The Headteacher is willing to appoint a candidate with limited experience. Candidates with NQT status will be considered for the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
