Level 1 Teaching Assistant – Secondary School
Location: North Liverpool
Employer: Teaching Personnel
Job Type: Full-time/Part-time options available
Salary: £85 - £95 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Level 1 Teaching Assistant to support students in a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in North Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on young people's learning journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to teachers, assisting with lesson delivery and student engagement.
  • Work with students in small groups or one-to-one to support their learning needs.
  • Assist with classroom management and help create a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with additional learning needs, ensuring they receive tailored assistance.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being and progress of students.

Requirements:

✔ A genuine passion for working with young people in an educational setting.
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
✔ Previous experience working with children or young people (voluntary or paid) is desirable but not essential.
✔ A willingness to learn and take direction from teaching staff.
✔ An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
